How to get to Alghero

By airplane

The airport of Alghero-Fertilia has direct flights to the main Italian cities and various European capitals. Low-cost airlines (Ryanair, etc.) offer very economical flights direct to Alghero from many European cities. Alitalia and Airone offer direct flights from Rome, Milan and other Italian airports. During summer there is a significant increase in flight connections. As soon as the timetable will be available it will be included in this website with a destination map. The airport is a 15 minutes drive from the town and car rental is available from the airport. There are also regular buses or taxis from the airport to town.

By ferry

The nearest port is Porto Torres, where ferries arrive from Genoa, Civitavecchia, Marseille and Barcelona. Some routes are only seasonal.

From Porto Torres to Alghero, if you are travelling by car, you have to find and follow road signs that indicate the way to Alghero.
If you are travelling by bus, there is a bus stop inside the commercial port (near the Punto Verde Bar).

If you are travelling by train, the train stop is a short distance from the port. There is no direct train from Porto Torres to Alghero, you have to take the train to Sassari Centrale and then take the train or the bus to Alghero.
